All your databases, combined in one app.
DBine connects to 130 engines and services from a single desktop app: SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, Snowflake, Redis and many more. Query, design, compare, migrate and monitor without switching tools.
For Windows, macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel) and Linux.
DBine, in motion.
One place for all your databases.
Relational, analytical, document, key-value, graph, time series and search. Every engine has its own driver, with its own dialect, types and objects.
See what's hitting your database, live.
Right-click a database and watch every query any application runs against it, just like SQL Server Profiler. And not just on SQL Server.
- Full context: time, duration, text, user, client, rows and error.
- Find the slow ones: filter, sort and open any query in the editor.
- Leaves everything as it was: if the engine needs something turned on to capture, DBine turns it on and restores it when you're done.
- Safe in production: on read-only connections, nothing changes on the server.

Two databases, side by side. The differences, one click away.
Compare development against production, or a SQL Server database against a PostgreSQL one. DBine shows you what changed and builds the script to bring them in sync.
- The whole schema: tables, columns, indexes, keys, views, procedures, functions and triggers.
- You decide what moves: use the arrows to push each change from one side to the other, with undo.
- A script in the right order, with warnings when something could lose data or fail.

Your server's pulse, always in view.
Real-time CPU, memory, sessions and server activity, one right-click on the connection away. Spot a spike before the phone rings.

An AI that writes. You run it.
A chat panel beside the editor that writes queries, explains or fixes the one in the editor and answers questions about the database structure.
- It never runs anything: its code is added to the query and you decide.
- It never sends data rows: only the engine, the structure and the editor contents.
- Uses a built-in local model, Ollama, LM Studio, Claude Code or Codex.

Your AI assistants, within the limits you set.
DBine works as a local MCP server, so Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Claude Desktop, VS Code or Windsurf can work with your connections while DBine is open, on any engine. You decide how far each connection goes.
- Four levels per connection: nothing, structure only, read or write. Structure only out of the box.
- Connections tagged prod and read-only connections never go beyond read.
- Every write asks for your approval (or you approve all of a client's writes) and shows the exact code; if you don't answer within two minutes, it's rejected.
- One revocable token per client, and the server only listens on this machine. A local log shows every call, with no passwords or secrets.

Everything a DBA needs. Nothing they don't.
Move to another engine
Converts tables, types, keys and indexes from one engine to another, with a report on every change and a script ready for the target.
Sync two tables row by row
Compare the rows of two tables, even on another server or another engine, choose which way each difference goes and review the script before running it.
Bring your connections
Import your connections from DBeaver, DbGate, DataGrip, Azure Data Studio or SSMS in a minute. Passwords included.
AI writes, you decide
Writes, explains and fixes queries. It never runs anything and never sees your data. Works with a local model, Ollama, LM Studio, Claude Code or Codex.
Your AI assistants, with limits
Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and others work with your connections over MCP, with the access level you choose per connection and your approval for every write.
Your setup on any machine
Connections, queries and preferences synced with end-to-end encryption, in your own Google Drive, OneDrive or folder.
Visual execution plans
Graphical plans in the style of Management Studio, estimated or actual, to find where the time goes.
ER diagrams and designer
Diagrams that handle hundreds of tables, a table designer tailored to each engine and a script generator for restores.
Queries inside each database
Every database keeps its own queries, saved automatically as you type. No more stray tabs and lost files.
Your DBA scripts, at hand
Save your scripts by engine, with parameters that fill in from the tables of the active database.
Export and import without limits
CSV, Excel, JSON, SQL, XML and more. Exports stream the full query, not just what's on screen.
Private networks, within reach
Reach databases in private networks through SSH and bastions, with fingerprint checks and passwords in the system keychain.
Your data is yours. Period.
Passwords in the system keychain
Keychain, Credential Manager or Secret Service. Never in files or logs.
End-to-end encryption
Sync uses your passphrase and stays in your account. AddLayer has no servers for it and never sees your data.
Truly read-only
Mark a connection as read-only and DBine blocks anything that isn't a read. Ideal for production.
Questions, answered.
What is DBine?
DBine is a free desktop database manager for Windows, macOS and Linux. It connects to 130 engines and services, from SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL and Oracle to MongoDB, Redis, Snowflake and Elasticsearch, with the same explorer, editor and tools on all of them.
Is DBine free?
Yes. DBine is free, with every feature included, and it will stay that way. If it's useful to you, you can support the project voluntarily through GitHub Sponsors.
Which databases does DBine support?
130 engines and services: relational, analytical, document, key-value, graph, time series, search and streaming. Each one has its own driver, so you don't need to install the vendor's client tools. See the full list.
Is DBine an alternative to DBeaver or SSMS?
Yes. Besides everyday work (queries, editing, export), it includes tools that usually need a second app or a paid edition: a live profiler, a server monitor, schema and data compare, migration between engines and backups. It runs natively on macOS and Linux, where SSMS doesn't. DBine vs DBeaver.
Do my data or passwords leave my computer?
No. Connections, queries and results stay on your device, passwords go into the system keychain, and DBine connects directly to your servers. The anonymous usage data never includes servers, queries or results, and you can turn it off at any time.
Can I bring my connections from another tool?
Yes. DBine imports connections from DBeaver, DbGate, DataGrip, Azure Data Studio and SSMS, and stores the passwords in the system keychain.
Try DBine today.
Install it in minutes, import your connections from the tool you use today and work with all your databases from one place.
DBine is free and will stay that way. If you find it useful, you can support the project with whatever you like, once or monthly. The code is on GitHub.
